At first I thought that the latest addition to this page was simply vandalism (and, given its non-NPOV statements, it technically was) but I looked it up and found that people with the names Mike Albanese and Michele Lichtenstein (incorrectly spelled "Michelle Litchenstien") did serve as executive producer and producer of JumpStart Typing. The citation, which did not confirm any of the statements added as far as I could tell, purports to be Albanese's weblog. I think it's at least possible that the user to add the unsourced statements was Albanese himself. Given this, I must implore that we not let such a valuable source of inside information go to waste and give "Jmalbanese" a chance to (somehow) confirm his identity. 67.171.163.212 07:59, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about Michelle's last name. She was great and a lot of fun to have around. I was the second programmer hired at Davidson & Associates in September of 1986. I was a direct report to the founder, Jan Davidson for over 10 years and have a vast and deep knowledge of the company history. It was actually her first name you got wrong. Anyway, I have to say that I, personally, am fairly convinced that you are Mike Albanese. Almost everything you've added seems to be either verifiable or probable and, if someone were impersonating you (like that would happen), they would likely have copied and pasted Litchenstien's name, so your misspelling her name is actually evidence in your favor. (Of course, someone could always argue that an impersonator did that on purpose just so we'd think that.)

As you might have guessed, the people running Wikipedia are big on citations and pretty much everything you add has to verifiable somehow. I suppose we could get around that by having you create your own website to put your inside information on, so we would have something to cite. As much as this may seem like a needless (not to mention rather strange) formality, it would be really helpful in identifying vandalism later on.
