9/14/2015 Edits[edit]

Hey Wikipedians! I added a few more references from NOAA and meteorological organizations since the page seemed to be lacking on that front. I added estimates of property damage and news about flooding and evacuation. I also added an external link to a playlist of Youtube videos. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JayEllRichy (talkcontribs) 18:46, 15 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

April 25, 2016 Edits[edit]

I rearranged the original information into three separate sections and added three new sources as well as an external link that shows a map of the total amount of rainfall in the southern plains of the United States. I also added new information from the sources. In the introduction, I added "The June 2007 Texas flooding occurred after heavy rains hit the Southern Plains of the United States. Moisture from the Gulf Mexico flowed north creating a slow-moving frontal system. Approximately 200 millimeters (8 inches) of rain poured in northern Texas, and 11 flood-related deaths were reported." Under "Meteorological History", I added "During mid-June, moisture rom the Gulf Mexico flowed north creating a slow-moving frontal system that caused heavy rains in southern parts of the United States. Approximately 200 millimeters (8 inches) of rain hit northern Texas. The rain fell on swollen streams and lakes as well as wet soil causing heavy flooding in parts of northern Texas." Under "Damage", I added "11 flood-related deaths were reported and approximately 300 homes were ordered to evacuate." I also checked the original article for grammatical errors and plagiarism. I used the following three sources: http://www.foxnews.com/story/2007/06/28/flood-ravaged-texas-gets-more-rain-after-storms-claim-11-lives.html http://hydromet.lcra.org/riverreport/Documents/2007_Flood_Report.pdf http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/NaturalHazards/view.php?id=18518 Bfaval3 (talk) 16:05, 26 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
