Origins/History
This article is both interesting and applicable, yet it lacks a Origins/History/(whatever) section to explain JIT's origins and history. Instead, for example, more than halfway through the article, someone named "Ohno" is suddenly but casually mentioned (and without a link), and yet, he seems to be the "father" of the JIT strategy — at least the formalized strategy as we know it. So, I recommend mentioning his full name in its first instance here along with a link to his article in Wikipedia, and hopefully, this can happen at the beginning of the article in an Origins or History section. JIT starts with Kiichiro Toyoda (http://www.toyota-global.com/company/vision_philosophy/toyota_production_system/origin_of_the_toyota_production_system.html) with Taiichi Ohno figuring out how to implement it with kanban. Misleading to suggest that Toyota adopted it so much as invent it. Jason Yip (talk) 22:08, 5 May 2015 (UTC)
A few grammar improvements
Greetings! I restored some of the older phrasing in the article[1], but my edit got reverted[2] per "Re-entered material that somewhat had (by mistake?) removed." I must have been a bit unclear with my edit, sorry for that, so let me try to explain it in short and brief:
- The new wording, "JIT/TPS implementations soon followed, as documented in many case-study articles from the 1980s and beyond.", was a bit bizarre so I restored the old wording, "JIT/TPS implementations may be found in many case-study articles from the 1980s and beyond.", which is clear and simple IMHO.
I hope this helps to explain my edit, Shonzey! Cheers! Jayaguru-Shishya (talk) 17:23, 17 May 2015 (UTC)

Just-in-Time Manufacturing → Just-in-time manufacturing – Please place your rationale for the proposed move here. Tony (talk) 10:43, 18 October 2015 (UTC)
It's downcased in the article text, correctly.
Per WP:MOSCAPS ("Wikipedia avoids unnecessary capitalization") and WP:TITLE, this is a generic, common term, not a propriety or commercial term, so the article title should be downcased. In addition, WP:MOSCAPS says that a compound item should not be upcased just because it is abbreviated with caps. Lowercase will match the formatting of related article titles.
