Associated Acts[edit]

The associated acts portion of the page needs additional information. Justin Bieber has also recorded with the rapper Ludacris (Baby), and with Jaden Smith (Never Say Never)... not only Usher. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.149.100.105 (talk) 00:53, 1 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Holy crap[edit]

Even the talk page is protected? I know the article is an easy target, so I can understand it being so heavily vandalized, but damn, it is rare that an article's talk page requires protection as well. Also, why does majority of the vandalism consist of calling Bieber homophobic slurs? 24.189.90.68 (talk) 08:32, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There are a lot of Bieber haters out there. As for the homophobic slurs, who knows? The age group of the vandals, maybe? Airplaneman 00:47, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Controversy and Criticism[edit]

{{editsemiprotected}}. There has now been a specific and verifiable piece of news which should be included in the article, yet appears nowhere. At the BBC Radio One Big Weekend on 22/23 May 2010 (the biggest free ticketed music festival in the UK), ****** ****** was booed when he appeared on stage and, more importantly, stormed out of an interview, gesticulated to members of the public and all this led to the press branding him "a spoilt brat".  Not done Please provide a reliable source that indicates this incident is more than blogosphere gossip. (See also WP:UNDUE). –xenotalk 13:52, 26 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

{{editsemiprotected}} Are you kidding? The first link is the website of the UK's third biggest newspaper - the Daily Mirror. The other articles directly refer to broadcasted material listened to by millions of people.

I guess you don't consider this, quoting staff of an Australian TV station, reported in the UK's second biggest newspaper, to be a reliable source either? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1281873/Justin-******-flew-temper-swore-TV-crew.html

I don't see any link to the Daily Mirror above? –xenotalk 13:49, 31 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
There have been extensive discussions at WP:RS/N as to the reliability of both the Daily Mirror [1] and the Daily Mail [2] (they were generally disfavoured as "tabloid", or sensationalist, newspapers), so I won't be fulfilling this editprotected request myself, but will leave it up for a second opinion. In the meantime, perhaps you might prepare the text you think should be added using these sources. –xenotalk 13:59, 31 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Not done: I have to agree with xeno here, the references do not appear notable or reliable, and reliable sources are especially important when dealing with contentious material such as this. There was no link to the Daily Mirror provided. If you can provide a reliable source, feel free to file another request. GiftigerWunsch [TALK] 14:04, 31 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This link IS to the Daily Mirror (3am is one of their 'brands'): http://www.3am.co.uk/we-ask-justin-******-whether-hes-seen-the-website-lesbians-who-look-like-justin-******com/22509/

Apologies, it seems as though in adding that comment my computer has asterixed out the word Bieber from the hyperlinks...

Actually I think that's part of the point/joke. Thanks for explaining that 3am is the Daily Mirror, but see my comments about both the Daily Mirror and Daily Mail, and the suggestion to prepare the desired edit for review. –xenotalk 15:23, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Firefox add-on designed to block any mention of him on the web[edit]

The media is talking about it [3], [4], [5]. Hell, they even talked about it on the TV news today, so it is pretty notable. 24.189.90.68 (talk) 00:28, 26 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think we'd need something more than mere blog mentions. –xenotalk 14:05, 26 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like another user has added this (sourced to The Telegraph). –xenotalk 14:29, 26 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

And now the developer has received death threats from people upset with his Firefox extension. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.128.55.140 (talk) 03:44, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
