A suggestion

[edit]

Justin is a declared atheist. maybe we need to add it —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ungu (talkcontribs) 13:02, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why? He's a guitarist, not a priest....--87.164.164.171 (talk) 21:47, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
By that criterion, you would never indicate atheist for anyone... Teji (talk)

I find it extremely odd that 87.164.164.171 would make that comment. On Wikipedia, people go out of their way to proclaim the person's belief in an invisible sky daddy. All religions are mythologies, yet 300 to 400 year past the Age of Enlightenment and while we are currently in the Scientife Age and the Age of Information, billions of credulous people still believe in invisible friends. It's quite a sad statement of the collective intelligence of the human race.

However, if one is going to state that Justin is an Atheist, I'd suggest to talk about this using baby talk. For example. Justin is a declared Atheist. Which means this: A = Not. Theist = Means you believe in an invisible sky daddy. Therefore, the only thing an Atheist means is that a person doesn't have any invisible friends. Also, the term Atheist does not state whether a person is moral or immoral.

However, on the other side of the coin, since all religious texts are filled with immoral teachings from our ancient immoral, bigoted, racist, sexist, and intolerant ancestors, one can infer that all people who believe in any form of any religion are immoral because A) They follow some or many of their immoral teachings of their religious texts and/or B) Due to their belief, which is always public, (that is, believers always make comments about their beliefs in public such as on social media, they wear religious articles or clothing, talk to others about their belief like, "I'll pray for you" or "Do you want to come to my church?"), which is supporting these immoral religious organizations. All of our current practiced religious mythologies hurt, harm or kill individuals and all harm society.

And please remember that Freedom of Religion ONLY means that the state cannot force you to join a specific religion and that the state cannot put a person in jail or harm a person based on one's beliefs or non-beliefs. And remember that Freedom of Religion does not OUTLAW the criticism of religion. As Christopher Hitchens stated, "Religion should be treated with ridicule, hatred and contempt, and I claim that right." --MikeWest (talk) 04:47, 25 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Age

[edit]

Conspicuously absent is Justin's age. A cursory google search and skim of his web page turned up nothing. Anybody have a good source? 24.193.42.196 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 06:29, 10 April 2010 (UTC).[reply]

Song name: Turn To Tell

[edit]

I believe this should be I Turn To Tell Her. I own the album, and the album titles are available on the internet, therefore I think it just to correct this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.125.10.121 (talk) 21:38, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have used Justin's material on YouTube for learning the guitar. Justin is very well respected by guitar newbies like myself. I believe the "Talk page guidelines" link above which includes the following... "Pay particular attention to Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons:

Editors should remove any negative material about living persons that is either unsourced, relies upon sources that do not meet standards specified in Wikipedia:Reliable sources, or is a conjectural interpretation of a source."....

should be enforced and the statement under the Live Performances section "where it is rumour'd he pumped her;" should be removed immediately, out of respect for Justin and Katie.

Rock on and respect each other as you'd have them respect you. Thanks, MuleTraderNoches
