The name of the ship[edit]

Since this is an article about a ship, shouldn't it use the actual name instead of the English translation? An example would be "Star of India". This ship has pages in German and Polish, but both use the English name, although "India" has translations in both languages. I don't know how to make this kind of change but think the title should be "Køpenhavn". — Preceding unsigned comment added by Another-sailor (talkcontribs) 10:14, 27 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

2012 wreck discovery[edit]

I have removed a cited paragraph using this source as the basis for claiming a co-investigation between the Danish authorities and the people of Tristan da Cunha into a wreck discovered off Cave Point, alleged to be the 'København', for the following three reasons:

  • The source is of dubious quality, being a commercial magazine printing a tabloid-esque story which was popular on "mystery/paranormal" websites and blogs around the time.
  • The official Tristan da Cunha website mentions discovery of a wreck of a large sailing vessel off Cave Point in November 2011. However, the name 'København' is not brought up and nothing indicates that any identification was ever made or that any formal investigation was ever carried out. The news section of the same website has no articles from the time period relating to the wreck.
  • The Copenhagen Post carried an article in November 2016 on the 'København' that contains no mention of any wreck discovery or investigation carried out by the Danish government.
