Notability[edit]

Hi Jtadesse, I'm not sure if this article meets NASTRO. Do you know if there's maybe a page we can merge this content into? Best, Vermont (🐿️🏳️‍🌈) 03:20, 21 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I did a search on TWL and Google and didn't find anything other than the two sources used in the article, and a few similar lists/registries for potentially habitable exoplanets. It looks like most of this content is in the table on List of potentially habitable exoplanets, but I'm not sure if there's a place where the prose can be merged into. There are other references for the planet's page now, including generally reliable ones, and the page is much longer. Besides, shouldn't the potential habitability of the planet alone be enough to verify notability? [User:Jtadesse|Jtadesse]] (JtadesseContributions/Jtadesse) 04:23, 21 November 2023 (Pacific time)

Being included in the PHL's "optimistic sample" definitely doesn't establish notability (and most planets in that list, including this one, are unlikely to be rocky). Most of this article isn't specifically about this planet and can be covered in Planetary habitability or related articles. The same applies to several articles on "potentially habitable" exoplanets created by you and others, like Kepler-737b - notability is questionable and most of the content that's not just basic data is speculation based on sources about planetary habitability in general.
