Fair use rationale for Image:Tstv2006.jpg[edit]

Image:Tstv2006.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Technical strangenesses[edit]

Anybody know why the station broadcasts audio on the left side only, but has phantom channels 29.2, 29.3, and 29.4 which are just color bars? AnonMoos (talk) 02:56, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I used to work at TSTV from 2005-2009. We didn't broadcast in stereo when I was there, and I'm guessing they still don't which is probably why you only hear left side audio. Channels 29.2, 29.3, and 29.4 were allocated to showcase content from KVRX 91.7 FM (student radio), The Daily Texan (student newspaper) and The Texas Travesty (student comedy publication). My guess is this hasn't happened yet or will not happen. - Thomas —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.200.57.225 (talk) 09:12, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Checked it just now, and they have only 29.1 and 29.2, with Bloomberg on 29.2... Bloomberg audio is on both channels, but 29.1 still only on left. AnonMoos (talk) 15:55, 3 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Changes in Sep/Oct 2012[edit]

In the past couple weeks, the channel seems to be off the air (from 15 miles out, at least). Are they still broadcasting, perhaps at reduced power? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:470:1F11:824:8BF:E55D:B85D:E474 (talk) 04:02, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

They seem to have been having several problems recently. At the beginning of summer, the Bloomberg financial and music video subchannels were dropped. At the end of summer, they had problems with the sound volume being set extremely low. Recently (I couldn't tell you for how long), most of the time my tuner's signal strength indicator indicates that there is some kind of signal being broadcast on 29.1, but I don't get any video or audio. I live fairly close to campus... AnonMoos (talk) 14:03, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Channel 29.1 is now working -- the signal strength is the same as when it wasn't working, but now I get audio and video. AnonMoos (talk) 04:27, 9 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Broadcast time/date signal[edit]

Now and for some time it's been 44 hours slow... AnonMoos (talk) 04:29, 26 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Time signal finally fixed. Latest permutation is Bloomberg Fuse alternating with local programming on 29.1; KVRX simulcast on 29.2; and infomercials on 29.3... AnonMoos (talk) 23:13, 14 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
