mission statement

[edit]

I removed the "Mission Statement" from this article. That is not factual information. In fact it reads like an "Ad" for the station. Wikipeida is about facts not about running an ad for a PBS station. Nor do mission statements appear in any other of the TV stations on Wikipedia, that I could find.

I removed the sentence that it is a flagship for PBS. Flagship refer to things (newspapers, TV etc) that are OWNED by a company. PBS does not own it's station. A company that owns a bunch of PBS stations can have a flagship but PBS cannot 4.142.126.131 04:39, 5 November 2007 (UTC)eric[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Kcet66.jpg

[edit]

Image:Kcet66.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

BREAKING NEWS: severing ties

[edit]

KTLA's twitter account ( @ ktla ) just announced that KCET will be severing affiliation with PBS. It will now air news from foreign countries, and old feature films. Not sure if this is immediate, or how soon it is to take place. 68.107.11.96 (talk) 20:13, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It'll be effective in January, according to the L.A. Times article [1] --ShawnHill 20:37, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
