In your "Personalities - Past" segment, you list Max "Robey" as a meteorologist for KMOX. This would come as a surprise to anyone who grew up in Saint Louis in the '60s or '70s. May "Roby" was the anchor for the evening news at KMOX. He came on every night right after Cronkite finished the national CBS broadcast.

Wilmoth's position with KMOV

[edit]

More than once Aimee Wilmoth has been labeled as a weekend meterologist. Wilmoth is only a fill-in meterologist. I haven't seen KMOV's weekend news in a while, but she has probably been filling in a lot on weekends, so some people probably think she is a weekend meterologist. If you go to KMOV's TV personalities section of their website you will find no mention of her. She can probably be left under current personalities with a tag of fill-in. [edit]

The Steve Schiff referenced in the former personalities section is not deceased. It links to another Steve Schiff, a politician, and they are clearly not the same person. NewPasha 03:17, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Belo problems with Charter

[edit]

prior to Super Bowl XLI, belo pulled the HD broadcasts of KMOV from the Charter cable in the St. Louis area due to an dispute with the cable provider, which left St. Louis out of luck in watching that game in HD. This feud been going on for quite some time, and has not been resolved to my knowledge. There has not been anything major in the local news regarding this since January.Kimmy78 15:46, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

kmov problems with the viacom tenure

[edit]

I would like to add when Viacom took over KMOV in the mid 80s and started pre-empting programs, many cable providers (most that have since been bought out by Charter) just south and east of St. Louis began adding KFVS to the cable lineup, especially with the fact many the home television attena towers could pick up that station down there. During those years that KMOV was owned by Viacom, the much smaller market KFVS added the Missouri counties Jefferson and Franklin, and the Illinois counties of Monroe, St. Clair, Clinton, Marion, and Washington thanks to cable television. The Clinton/Marion county coverage is limited to the Centralia area, however, due to Charter cable (they use lineup based out of Mt. Vernon). St. Clair/Monroe coverage area pretty much includes New Athens, St. Libory, Red Bud, Waterloo, and Freeburg, mostly through the home TV attenas. Kimmy78 16:09, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-meredith-time-inc-20171126-story.html

This proposed deal involves Time inc's assets and Meredith's assets coming into one entity. As of November 2017 the Koch Brothers has been named as people involved in the deal. Its a pending deal that affects Meredith owned stations.

Adding unreferenced entries of former employees to lists containing BLP material

[edit]

Hello, Please do not add unreferenced names as entries to the list of former employees in articles. Including this type of material in articles does not abide by current consensus and its inclusion is strongly discouraged in our policies and guidelines. The rationales are as follows:

  1. WP:NOT tells us, Wikipedia is "not an indiscriminate collection of information." As that section describes, just because something is true, doesn't necessarily mean the info belongs in Wikipedia.
  2. As per WP:V, we cannot include information in Wikipedia that is not verifiable and sourced.
  3. WP:NLIST tells us that lists included within articles (including people's names) are subject to the same need for references as any other information in the article.
  4. Per WP:BLP, we have to be especially careful about including un-sourced info about living persons.

If you look at articles about companies in general, you will not find mention of previous employees, except in those cases where the employee was particularly notable. Even then, the information is not presented just as a list of names, but is incorporated into the text itself (for example, when a company's article talks about the policies a previous CEO had, or when they mention the discovery/invention of a former engineer/researcher). If a preexisting article is already in the encyclopedia for the person you want to add to a list, it's generally regarded as sufficient to support their inclusion in list material in another article. cheers Deconstructhis (talk) 14:14, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

KMOV is now the new home of MeTV St. Louis

[edit]

For some reason WRBU no longer has MeTV as a sub-channel instead it's now 4.3 and the logo bug reads KMOV-St. Louis underneath the Me logo Matthew Cantrell (talk) 09:25, 2 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on KMOV. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

First Alert 4

[edit]

On December 3rd, KMOV launched its new branding as First Alert 4, including a new on-air look from the new Maryland Heights studio as mentioned in the page. The new logo (found here taken from the website) needs to replace the existing KMOV 4 logo as it is no longer used on air or online. Eternitiesedge (talk) 16:25, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
