The Station Went On-Air In 2000 As A Pirate Radio Station. The Pirate Radio Station Played A Modern Rock Format Known On-Air As Modern Rock 94.5 FM. And In 2009 The FCC Sent A Letter To The Pirate Radio Station Forcing It To Shut Down But In 2010 The Station Got A Construction Permit And Officially Went On-Air December 31, 2012 With The Call Letters KNNZ At 89.1 FM The Station Is Known On-Air As Ken’s FM Named After The Owner. The Station Still Carries The Modern Rock Format.
