Kabaka is not elected, he's supposedly genetically superior, as the whites

[edit]
That is absurd. The Kabaka's position is based on tradition. There are elected officials who exercise the political power in Uganda and are therefore legally responsible to the republic's voters. The significant "authority" of the Kabaka does not lie in politics, but in the area of culture. It is unenforceable legally but honored socially by the voluntary will of Ugandans: It is a matter of custom, not compulsion. If the Kabaka behaves unwisely or irresponsibly for an extended period of time that comes to the attention of his people, he is ignored and loses public esteem, thereby gradually eroding the traditional eminence accorded to his own dynasty. He disrespects his people at the peril of his own family's legacy and prominence. FactStraight (talk) 01:07, 26 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

What were the names of the hereditary kings of the Baganda kingdom 105.163.29.128 (talk) 08:34, 6 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Kabaka's succesion

[edit]

Kingship in Buganda is hereditary and no vote or elections are held in case the king passes away.

For now Ssemakokiro the youngest prince of Buganda is the crown prince of Buganda kingdom and he stays outside the kingdom. This is a done in favour of the kingdom's culture whereby it is said that no kingdom or empire is governed by two kings.

It is believed that a king to be is born with two amblical codes. For more information vist www.buganda.com written by moses trips ug. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 154.226.183.150 (talk) 18:41, 18 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
