Untitled[edit]

Does anybody know any of the history of Kahlúa? The website doesn't offer much. I even checked older versions via the Wayback Machine. I found some tiny evidence that it is manufactured in or around Puebla, Mexico. But it's hard to verify, even now while I am currently in Mexico. Coffee may prevent cirrhosis... is Kahlúa the perfect liquor?[edit]

Coffee may contain an ingredient that protects the liver against alcoholic cirrhosis, a new study shows. [1]. Not only does the caffeine keep you from getting too sleepy, the coffee protects your liver. Unfortunately the high levels of sugar may cause diabetes ;) --Thoric 03:03, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Most Markets?[edit]

I have a bottle of Midnight - it's only 70 proof (35%), is much darker than regular Kahlua, and has a much stronger coffee flavour. 24.61.4.237 (talk) 04:55, 23 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The article claims it was lowered to 20% ABV in "most markets". Is this true? A quick check shows it has 20% ABV in most US states and Canada, but 26 or 26.5 in Australia and the few European countries I checked. Corn syrup - only in US?[edit]

The German version lists sugarcane rather than corn syrup as an ingredient. Maybe this is the usual corn interests pushing their high fructose stuff in the US, as with many other drinks?
