OverView of Kaikaluru

[edit]

There was a big history about Kaikalur. In early times, Kaikalur had called as Kainkaryapuri. This was ruled by King Kandela Rayudu. Subsequently, Cholas also ruled this village. He ruled this village with a great responsibility to him.The famous Mosque located on 214A highway in kaikalur was built by him.He also established a Temple of Lord Venkateswara in this village. For this temple,he digged a water tank named Bhavani Cheruvu to offer prayers to Lord Venkateswara. In this Village Lord Venkateswara is "Meesala Venkateswara".

The Court in this village was built by Britishers along with Police Station, Treasury,Sub Register Office, Sub-Jail, Railway Station and Tahsildar Office. At the time of Britishers, they named this village as Kaikalur in the memory of King Kandela Rayadu.

Sri Syamalamba Temple was build 400 years ago. This is a famous temple after the temple of Lord Venkateswara. In this temple, Sri Ramalingeswara Temple, Kanakalingeswara temples are in it. Many tourists visit this temple to serve the Goddess till now.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.200.213.170 (talk) 01:10, 2 October 2015
