Kaleidoscope (EP)

[edit]

Who on earth would think the title has EP in it? Just because it's on the cover? Many artists put EP on the cover, that's nothing! Reliable sources identify it as just "Kaleidoscope" without the EP.[1][2][3] It should be moved back to Kaleidoscope (EP). - TheMagnificentist 02:37, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Kaleidoscope EPKaleidoscope (EP) – EP is not part of the title. Most reliable sources recognize it as just "Kaleidoscope".[4][5][6]. - TheMagnificentist 10:17, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@TheMagnificentist: I moved this as result of this request, with the reason "EP" is part of the name of the album, as seen on the cover; I looked it up on iTunes and it shows the name as "Kaleidoscope EP" as well. This is is the iTunes page in question. https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/kaleidoscope-ep/id1248904974. I thought that this was pretty clear and not controversial. If you wish I will revert it as it was an undiscussed move. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 11:24, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that'll be great, EoW. iTunes isn't generally the best source and it's not exactly reliable as well. - TheMagnificentist 11:26, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Generally positive? The ratings look pretty mixed to me Bugg Bulborb (talk) 02:58, 21 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bugg Bulborb! If you look at the Metacritic page and next to the Meatscore, you'll see that it says "Generally favorable reviews". Pianoguysfantalktome 17:22, 30 August 2017 (UTC) Whoops, sorry I mean Metascore. My bad... Pianoguysfantalktome 17:23, 30 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Kaleidoscope (EP)Kaleidoscope EP – The album title is clearly "Kaleidoscope EP", not "Kaleidoscope", as evidenced by the cover art literally reading "COLDPLAY: KALEIDOSCOPE EP", as well as the band's official website, Rolling Stone, Pitchfork (title is listed as "Kaleidoscope EP" in italics), NME (title is listed as "Kaleidoscope EP" in single quotes), The Telegraph ("Kaleidoscope EP, Coldplay's sister-piece to their 2015 number one album..."), and the list of Grammy nominations from the Recording Academy's website, where the title is listed as "Kaleidoscope EP".

"Kaleidoscope" as an article title needs to be disambiguated anyway, so natural disambiguation makes more sense. Chase (talk | contributions) 00:36, 30 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
