Infobox Image[edit]

The current infobox image [[Image:KiscLogo.png]] is extremely ugly- the text serves no purpose because we already know what the centre is called... I suggest reverting to the image of the snowflake on its own [1] which is quite often used without the text, its even used on the flag in the photo on this page Stevecull 15:34, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The centre's corporate logo and image is that image with the text. If it's ugly or not, that's what their new image is. The crystal on its own is an old image. The text is actually part of the centres new image. If you think the crystal on its own looks better i guess we should use it, but i thought the image on the infobox should be something like their corporate image, not just a symbol. Plus we shouldn't be trying to mold all articles or infoboxes so that they look like the 'rest' of them! Each article is different. It doesn't bother me that much but i just don't think it looks great, most Scouting logos in infoboxes have just the logo and it looks well Stevecull 11:21, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

On the article today, I see the logo WITH words, which is hideously distorted into a square form. When I click it, I see the real square logo as 'current'. What gives??? Gadget, do you have an idea? Wim van Dorst (talk) 23:03, 2 January 2010 (UTC).[reply]

In 1998, the centre celebrated its 75th birthday with a special series of events. Since June 1996, when the chalet extension project was completed, over27,000 guests from more than 40 different countries have stayed at the centre. The centre continues to develop and place a very strong emphasis on offering a high-quality activity programme based on the themes of international friendship, alpine high adventure, and the environment.s The 7th World Youth Forum will be held at Michaelhouse, Balowan, South Africa, from 19 to 22 July 1999. For the second time, it is being held in conjunction with the World Scout Conference.The Forum will focus on three main topics: The essential characteristics of Scouting, the policy on the involvement of young members in decision-making, and a vision for Scouting.The World Conference voted to strengthen youth involvement in the decision-making process of the World Organization in Bangkok in 1993. The resolution emphasizes that Scouting is not only a Movement for young people but also a Movement of young people.s The 35th World Scout Conference will be held in Durban, South Africa from 26 to 30 July 1999. The Conference is the governing body of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, and is composed of all national Scout organizations. It meets every three years.With the theme Making the Most of our Mission the programme of the Conference will emphasize the mission of Scouting which will become the basis of the Strategy for the Movement in the future. Two days will be devoted to group work for the formulation of a mission statement which is faithful to the purpose, principles, and method set forth in the World Scout Constitution,and which will provide the Movement with a clear direction as it enters the next millennium.
