Azerbaijani conversion(s)[edit]

The only mention of Azerbaijan Railways' M62-based electric locomotive can be found on the Railfaneurope and Trainpix websites, and a few Russian-language forums. Only one unit, E2M62-0158 (Э2М62-0158) is ever mentioned. In this post on the Parovoz forum it's said that it was the sole conversion but the post is from 2010. The locomotive is based on the 2-section version (2M62) and the electric equipment was transplanted from a VL8 2-section 3 kV DC electric.

The article states that "Azerbaijan Railways converted a number of their M62 locomotives to electric operation", if no reliable source is found to support that they produced more than just the above-mentioned unit, it will have to be edited accordingly. 84.69.182.103 (talk) 13:13, 27 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
