Jindřich Štyrský[edit]

I updated the list of works using the Chech Wikipedia's cs:Karel Teige article as a source. That article included:

I decided not to include this on the English Wikipedia article as Jindřich Štyrský seems to be the co-author and not the title. It's possible it's a book mentioned on https://slam-livre.fr/sites/default/files/catalogs/files/101_czech_20books_2012_202009.pdf which I'll copy here as it's a bookseller's catalog and thus updated periodically.

Small 4to. 123 pp., with 12 full-page illustrations by J.Štyrský Black paper wraps with a yellow and black printed Label. Deckled edge. One of a limited edition of 300, this being one of 51-300 on Antik paper. 123 pp., with 12 full-page illustrations in lithography by J.Štyrský. One of 300 numbered copies , of which nos. 1-25 were handcolored and signed by the artist; 26-50 printed on Holland van Gelder; and nos 51-300 on Antik paper.(Bibliofilská Edice, Odeonu, 8).

"Teige writes a study of the work of le comte de Lautreamont, which he appends to a selection from 'The Song of Maldorador'. Together with the poet Horejsi, Teige cooperates with Philippe Soupault on the translation and the preparation for a bibliographical edition of the latter's work. Teige also designs cover, the typographical arrangement, and the plates for the book. Illustrations are produced by Styrsky. Part of this study also appears in "Pisen o Maldororovi," ReD 2, no. 7 (1929): 229-234. In July, the book is confiscated by the censors for being morally offensive. but the publisher Fromek manages to sell all 300 copies. That mentions a Teige plus Štyrský collaboration that likely should be included in the bibliographies for both people once some details are verified.

The dates mentioned in that seller listing though don't line up with a 1948 publication, banned by censors, and then released as part of a collection in 1951 that's mentioned on the Czech Wikipedia. --Marc Kupper|talk 21:12, 23 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
