- Merge. The official romanization of this county's name is Kargilik. Therefore Yecheng should be merged to here. --Neo-Jay (talk) 18:56, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
- Support merger. This would also allow Ye, China to be moved to Yecheng, which is more appropriate. --Nlu (talk) 21:01, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose for now. The article Yecheng states that it is about a town and an oasis. It seems to deal primarily with history. If we merge them to Kargilik County, we will still have an article mostly about history, with what seems like an unnecessarily anachronistic title. Perhaps we could move Yecheng to Kargilik or Karghilik, if we want to free up the title Yecheng for Ye, China.—Nat Krause(Talk!·What have I done?) 17:54, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- I agree with Nat Krause - if any moving is to be done, I think his suggestion of moving Yecheng to Kargilik or Karghilik is the best answer (with appropriate redirects, of course). Cheers, John Hill (talk) 10:13, 23 July 2009 (UTC) On second thought I don't think they should be merged at all - one is about a city with an ancient past, the other about a modern county.
