Not sure whether the pictures that you can e.g. find from the Austrian philosophers site (http://www.austrian-philosophy.at/) are by now free to be used. Although, hardly adding an image would do much of a favour for the lack of content -- maybe find someone able to translate from German version which is full of information. --78.27.82.90 (talk) 10:38, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Much of the information that you can find from the German page is actually from a later edition of Bühler's Sprachtheorie. The preface written by Achim Eschbach is fully translated on the English edition, published by John Benjamins at 1990. The entire editor's preface can be found free online from Google Books. Hence, there is no real reason to translate the information from German when the translation is already provided. Further information and mis-information can be found from a number of publications that noted Bühler's death back in the 1960s. Obviously, verifying Eschbach's information regarding Bühler's early career (the part that is controversial) is nigh impossible without access to the manuscripts he has used, which would, for the sake of objectivity, require one to also tell the other side of the story.--78.27.78.126 (talk) 11:29, 5 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
