"frustrated the champ for most of the fight"[edit]
It depends what you mean. Having just watched the fight, it's clear that Ali was often frustrated and surprised. Mildenberger fought excellently. But Ali won most of the rounds up the 12th, knocking down Mildenberg three times before the 12th and very nearly putting him away in the 8th.
