falsifying environmental data[edit]

Kathleen Hartnett White was involved in the falsification of environmental data in texas.

https://www.nbc26.com/news/national/trumps-pick-for-key-environmental-role-tells-senators-she-did-not-underreport-water-contamination "In her nomination hearing before the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, Carper, the ranking member on the panel, stated, “When Ms. White served on the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, the commission staff were told to underreport the levels of radiation in drinking water.”

Carper cited a 2011 investigative documentary from KHOU-TV in Houston that showed White openly acknowledged playing a role in a scandal where official state policy helped dozens of water systems in Texas avoid cleaning up radioactive contamination of drinking water that exceeded amounts allowed by the EPA.

“She later defended these actions, telling the reporter that, quote, ‘We did not believe the science of health effects justified the EPA setting the standard where they did,’” Carper said"

Should this be part of the article?

Trump administration personnel?[edit]

This article includes Category:Trump administration personnel -- however, did White actually serve in the administration in some capacity? The article doesn't say anything about that. Nominees don't necessarily serve in presidential administrations during their nomination periods, though they often do. --1990'sguy (talk) 18:17, 10 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The category text reads in part, "Also included are some nominated officials who have not been confirmed by the U.S. Senate." I can see why it was added during the nomination process, but it should be removed now. I'll do that. -- Pemilligan (talk) 20:28, 10 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
