Norwegian multiethnolect or kebabnorsk

[edit]

This article generally uses the term "Norwegian multiethnolect" instead of "kebabnorsk".

It states: "This terminology ["kebabnorsk"] is based on stereotypes of its users, and thus the name Norwegian multiethnolect is becoming increasingly more common," but the sources are quite old, and the authors have ethnic Norwegian (and old) names. I don't think anyone outside of 50-something scholars with zero connection to the culture would ever use the term "Norwegian multiethnolect".

The word "kebabnorsk" is used with pride, so I think it should be used within the article. NotJesper (talk) 18:46, 11 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
