Kebek and India[edit]

I'd like to note regarding Kebek's expedition against Delhi that The Delhi Sultanate: A Political and Military History (pp. 228-230, 328) mentions a "Kopek," who led an invasion of India at around the same time as Grousset claims Kebek did and who suffered a similar defeat, ultimately being taken prisoner and executed. The Wikipedia article Mongol invasions of India uses this same version of events. Obviously if Kopek was executed he could not possibly be Kebek, and since Grousset is an older source I suspect that his version of events might be inaccurate. If anyone can offer further information on this that would be good.

I think they made mistake. Kebek invaded India but not killed. That man was Kubak another chagatai ten thousender. But Kebek was with them.--Enerelt (talk) 05:52, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
