Could we possibly avoid conjecture in this article. Jammy Simpson | Talk | 20:33, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Drunk?

[edit]

Why do you think he was 'inebriated'? More likely he has some mobility difficulties. He does look rather frail. carena 20:51, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think it was only the fact his movement was faltering that brought people to the inebriagted conclusion, i also think his singing and pete impression made people think this. :) Dannyfrankland 12:44, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, he's like that, really. DavidFarmbrough 13:49, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I agree. That's his personality without stimulants! carena 00:20, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There's no need to BLOW UP such things...he's a director, he's artistic...artists are bohemians and are allowed a certain latitude, as Antonioni said. Myles325a (talk) 06:43, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Neil Haslam

[edit]

How can Neil Haslam of complained about his snoring if no Neil Haslam has been in big brother this year or any other year.

There's been Neil Haslam vandalism on other articles, so if you see any, please remove it. — AnemoneProjectors (talk) 19:28, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

BB: not important

[edit]

If the fact that he was on Big Brother is worth mentioning, surely it merits no more than a sentence.qp10qp 19:53, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have just done an extensive copy edit of the article, and I agree with you. I'd be in favour of deleting all but the most passing reference to it, if others agree. Orbicle 10:17, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'd say go ahead. But maybe best leave it a couple of weeks until the BB thing has lost its currency.qp10qp 14:14, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Who?

[edit]

Does a visit to a college really merit a mention?

'He is also a visiting professor of the University of Wales, Newport Film School (as of 2004). One of his many tasks is to advise students on the making of their graduate films. He also presented the Finest Film Awards (for graduate filmmakers of Newport) in June 2005.' 90.240.75.162 13:10, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The term "Visiting professor" does not mean that he once visited the college. A visiting professor is one who is not permanently attached to the faculty, but who nevertheless has some specific duties, usually for a series of courses or for a predetermined period. Orbicle 15:48, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is the Fan Game real?

[edit]

I personally have never heard of it before. Calvin 18:28, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unlikely. And Wikipedia is not for things made up in school one day. — AnemoneProjectors (talk) 00:03, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There

[edit]

should be a filmography here; i shouldn't have to go to another website to see a chronological list of his films —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.34.145.82 (talk) 00:48, 13 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. The page is useless without a filmography. 86.172.84.189 (talk) 11:31, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Is Wikipedia now the 'local events pages'?

[edit]

It seems that " Exhibition Ken Russell Filmmaker/Photographer, at Lucy Bell Fine Art 46 Norman Road, St Leonards on Sea, TN38 0EJ. www.lucy-bell.com Touring exhibition curated by Lucy Bell until 30 April 2010 Portobello series, East End Teddy Girls, Whitechapel Series, and constructed images from the Troubador, 1954-57.

After a successful exhibition at Lucy Bell's, it is now on show at the TopFoto Gallery, Jaques House, 1 Fircroft Way, Edenbridge, Kent, TN8 6EL until the end of May - www.topfotogallery.com.[15]" sounds more like advertising copy than a credible edit - is this what WP has become? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.64.161.72 (talk) 14:04, 31 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dance of the Seven Veils

[edit]

I have not seen "Dance of the Seven Veils", so do not know whether or not it "sought to portray Richard Strauss as a Nazi". However the illustration given does not show anything of the sort. "A Jew being tortured while a group of SS men look on in delight, to the tune of Strauss's music" does not indicate that Strauss was a Nazi, only that SS like to play Strauss music as a background to torture. That could imply that they like the music, or that they hate it and regard it as part of the torture.Royalcourtier (talk) 21:31, 8 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ballet training

[edit]

I'm sure that many of us would like evidence that Russell ever trained to be a ballet dancer.58.11.188.25 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 09:08, 28 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
