Looking to add a sentence to the Career section, that highlights Wyatts' role as Chair of the Parliamentary Friends of Diabetes group. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sre743 (talkcontribs) 00:00, 30 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Other editors had already updated briefly before I got there, but I added more using your sources. Laterthanyouthink (talk) 09:17, 9 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox dates

[edit]

RoadSmasher420, it's better to use the talk page than to engage in edit warring. My view is that while we're still in April 2023, it makes sense to put the exact date of Wyatt's resignation in the infobox, as it's easier for readers to locate while the news is still fresh. When the year ticks over to 2024 (or longer), it's less current and therefore less important to have the exact date. I would like a few other editors to opine here so that a consensus can be reached on this, which of course I am happy to abide by even if it goes against my view. I definitely understand your view and appreciate your reasoning. However, I believe that only '2023' is enough, both for consistency with other articles and to keep the infobox concise. I don't think it's fully necessary to have the exact date in the short summary that is the infobox, and that most readers who really want to know precise details will instead venture into the rest of the article.
