Coordinate error

[edit]

{{geodata-check}}

The coordinates need the following fixes:

  • Google Maps currently shows this station at the mid point between the villages of Blyford, Henham and Sotherton Corner in Suffolk, which is incorrect. It should be in Kenilworth, Warwickshire! Both the built-in Google Maps label and the Wikipedia marker on Google Maps are affected.

The co-ordinates on the article appear to be correct and bring up the right location when using the link to Google maps on the page. Unsure where Google picks up the incorrect label position from. Keith D (talk) 10:57, 2 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Reopening

[edit]

Year 2011: The following link implies that the planned reopening has been put on hold http://www.rail.co/2011/04/27/funding-for-kenilworth-station-refused/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.73.114.247 (talk) 14:15, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

(The above link is unreachable, but the 2011 news is available elsewhere, too, https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=funding+kenilworth+station+refused http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-coventry-warwickshire-13200021 ) 147.188.254.75 (talk) 18:41, 5 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It appears from local discussions that the opening of the station will now be put back until December 2017. Network Rail was mentioned as being the cause of this. Has anyone else any more news with a link, please. Xenophon Philosopher (talk) 14:43, 8 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
