Removed WP:PROD, This person appears to meet WP:N given that there are several articles that come up when searching his name. If nothing else, notable for being known as the first person to be incorrectly considered to be the first person killed by a robot. XeroxKleenex (talk) 01:36, 12 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Why is "Robert Williams (robot fatality)" redirected here? Surely it should be the other way round, since Williams was the first fatality and therefor more notable than Urada? Tallscreen (talk) 21:07, 15 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

XeroxKleenex "the first person to be incorrectly considered to be the first person killed by a robot" is nonsense. This unfortunate death was not the first one due to a robot, so arguably fails notability but could be included in the first death as a redirect to that article. I will mark as such. I'm just not seeing the nonsense in it. It's accurate. Notability is established easily enough by the large number of internationally published articles claiming that he was the first person killed by a robot. It's a short article, but he was also only notable for a single event, his unfortunate death. That's still notable, given the publicity surrounding it. I don't see the confusion, nor do I see the lack of notability. I'll leave the tags in place, but I don't see why you feel they're necessary. XeroxKleenex (talk) 02:52, 25 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm removing the tags on the article. They've been here nearly a year, the discussion seems to have ended, I think it's safe to assume consensus is that they're unnecessary. XeroxKleenex (talk) 08:08, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Kenji Urada: the band

[edit]

Kenji Urada is also a band.

That appears to be true. I haven't been able to find anything to establish notability, though to be fair I'm not terribly familiar with the music press. If notability is established for the band, then I'd support moving this page to Kenji Urada (robot fatality) and putting a disambiguation page here, with links to the article about the person and Kenji Urada (band). I'm not sure it's worth doing if the band article is just going to be removed for non-notability, this place is full of deletionists. XeroxKleenex (talk) 15:47, 24 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
So it turns out that the band is named for this Kenji Urada. I'd say that actually adds to his notability. I'm withdrawing support for moving this page, if the band becomes notable they can have Kenji Urada (band) and a link from this article. Found that info here: https://functionmusic.wordpress.com/2012/06/19/john-and-yoko-if-we-were-by-kenji-urada/?fbclid=IwAR2EDvFmZw3javtGZvXt-8mGcU5b9OiRavlKVO55p5zVKTbYCCgegBW4Khw - not RS enough to make it a ref in the article, but appears to be a valid explanation for the band name.
