- I now think they re probably the same person - the dates in Serbia seem to match up - so have clarified the alternative names in the lead. There seems a lot of conusion about his date of birth - http://www.national-football-teams.com/player/54496/Kennedy_Boateng.html and http://westafricanfootball.com/2014/05/19/medeama-sc-2013-2014/ both say 1 August 1988. - I follow very closely Serbian football, specially foreigners playing there, and I remember very well when he and Alfred Arthur joined FK Jagodina. They were brought as young perspective Ghanaian players. He was 20 at the time, and it was his first adventure in Europe. Between the two, Artur was better known cause he already had debuted for the Ghanaian national team. Kennedy Boateng was presented as Kenneth Asamoah Boateng and the press because of practical reasons shortened his name to Kenneth Asamoah (instead of Boateng). Seems that outside Serbia he was better known as Kennedy Boateng, and that got confirmed apecially when he became better known worldwide after debuting for Ghana as Kennedy Boateng. So that is the reason why initially there was an article about Kenneth Asamoah (article focused on his spell in Serbia) and another one for Kennedy Boateng (an article someone made when he debuted for Ghana and the author was unaware that the article Kenneth Asamoah was him). Now, I only have a doubt about who is Asomon Kenet, and who is the player born 4 years later (certainly not the one that played in Serbia and debuted for Ghana national team). Asomon Kenet is possibly some misspellesd version of his name. FkpCascais (talk) 15:53, 24 April 2015 (UTC)
