You have the peterborough collegiate school named after Hugh Kenner, Ir was renamed for his father HRH Kenner who was the principal for many years.' Hugh kenner went on to be one of the 3 top literary critics in the world. Doug Kenner HRH was my grandfathers brother.

This school was named after Dr. Henry Rowe Hockling Kenner (Hugh Kenner's father) who moved to Peterborough in 1893 where he taught and was principal of this school. Dr. Kenner was a classics master, Greek and Latin.
