GA Review[edit]

An overview:

well written =Y accuracy =Y thorough =Y NPOV =Y stable =Y images =Y

Some section specefic comments:

Lead[edit]

  • Several points in the lead could do with citation. These include "He was also a forceful advocate of the efficacy of strategic bombardment" and "The plan called for the creation of an enormous air force to beat Germany through strategic bombardment".
 Done Hawkeye7 (talk) 21:24, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

*"Walker was one of four officers in the Air War Plans Division, which was tasked with developing a production requirements plan for the air war."

 Done Hawkeye7 (talk) 21:24, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

:For clarity, i would make this "Walker was one of four officers in the Air War Plans Division, which was tasked with developing a production requirements plan for the war in the air."

Education and early life[edit]

  • This section seems to be fine.

Military Career[edit]

World War One[edit]
  • "Walker enlisted at Denver, Colorado on 15 December 1917 and took his flying training at the University of California's School of Military Aeronautics and at Mather Field."
It might be good to explain what/where Mather Field was rather than assuming the reader knows this.
Done I had sort of expected that they would click on the link. Hawkeye7 (talk) 20:29, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • The above point applies to the rest of this mini-section- mayb stating in which state these various training areas are would be helpful.
 Done Hawkeye7 (talk) 21:24, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Between the World Wars[edit]
  • "While stationed at Post Field, Walker met Marguerite Potter, a sociology graduate of the University of Oklahoma at the Norman campus. The two were married in September 1922."
This would benefit from a citation.
Done It had one. Moved it closer. Hawkeye7 (talk) 20:21, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
World War Two[edit]
  • "In mid-September 1942, at the height of the Kokoda Track campaign"
Do you have a wikilink for the Kokoda Track Campaign?
 Done Yes. Hawkeye7 (talk) 20:21, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Legacy[edit]

  • This section seems fine.

General Comments[edit]

  • This article was a pleasure to read and review, and i could find very few things wrong with it. I have put the article on hold while you have a look at my comments. Please leave a message here or on my talk page when you have had a look at my comments. It would be good if you could strike through or check mark each point as you address it. Regards, MarquisCostello (talk) 16:58, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I have check marked everything, leaving it to you to strike them when you are satisfied. Hawkeye7 (talk) 21:29, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
