Kent Fortress formation date[edit]

This article states that the unit was formed in 1932. This is not correct. The Royal Engineers (Kent Fortress) existed as a territorial unit prior to the First World War in 1914. My grandfather was a member of the unit prior to signing up with the regular army in September 1914.

This site [1] supports the above. It may be that the unit was disbanded and then re-formed. I'll add a note to the article and follow it up when I can. The original info is sourced as stated. Folks at 137 (talk) 22:09, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article assessed as start class.

To achieve B class:-

  • It is suitably referenced, and all major points are appropriately cited. = yes
  • It reasonably covers the topic, and does not contain major omissions or inaccuracies. = ?? (It does appear to cover the topic, but this is outside my area of knowledge to say for definite that there are no major ommissions)
  • It has a defined structure, including a lead section and one or more sections of content. = yes
  • It is free from major grammatical errors. = yes
  • It contains appropriate supporting materials, such as an infobox, images, or diagrams. = no
Comment:- Pictures would help improve the article - e.g. insignia. Were there any medals awarded to members of the KFRE? If so, a section could be added covering this. Mjroots (talk) 10:02, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
