Opposition to KFTC[edit]

It appears the article omits opposition to KFTC by the coal industry. It appears that this article is NOT neutral. Comments??? Willking1979 (talk) 01:44, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It appears that any reasonable person could gather from the description and mission statement that KFTC is in conflict with large corporations, perhaps coal companies. However, it is clear that the article -- or stub, rather -- is so minimal that it does not even state that one of KFTC's many campaigns is directed against the coal industry. Given this clarity, rather than claim non-neutrality of a stub, it would contribute much more to detail the interactions between citizens working on behalf of Kentuckians for the Commonwealth and those corporate executives bent on safeguarding their economic interests. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.28.49.232 (talk) 03:56, 19 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have to agree with the anonymous commentator. This is a stub article that briefly summarizes the beliefs and goals of the organization. As a political/social activist group, it seems very obvious that there would be organizations on the other side of their issues. Since the article doesn't even really mention anything about their involvement with issues surrounding coal mining, it would be POV to make any real issue of their opposition by that specific industry at this time. --Wingsandsword (talk) 04:01, 6 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:

However, as the information provided is incredibly minimal, there is little POV and the article is just a stub. Expansion should be undertaken as the article could be considered of high importance to Wikipedia's coverage of Kentucky. The organization has over 6,000 members, is rapidly growing, and is in the midst of redefining its purpose and strategy.
