Opinion[edit]

I am curious about the group nationality, is it "multinational" or "South Korean" girl group? And one of the group's single, the group labeled as "South Korean girl group", but here, it's not. Is having 3 different member nationalities are considered to be multinational, cause if it is true, Twice or Blackpink should be called a multinational girl group also on their own articles. There's should be a consensus here, cause consistency is important. –Ctrlwiki (talk) 16:00, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I'm also having the same thoughts, when comparing to Twice which has 4 foreign members (3 Japanese and 1 Taiwanese), it's simply "South Korean girl group" while Kep1er which has 3 foreign members (2 Japanese and 1 Chinese) is "multinational girl group". Not sure where the logic plays out, if it's because of Girls Planet 999 having contestants from South Korea, Japan, and China hence making Kep1er "multinational" sounds stupid to me because Sixteen has contestants from South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Thailand, of which the final lineup (Twice) consists of members from South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan so shouldn't it be "multinational" if the same logic was applied? Imo, Kep1er is simply a South Korean girl group because it's based in South Korea. If taking an business logic for instance, Multinational corporation is a company that operates in multiple countries in which it has offices in those multiple countries that it's operating in of which Kep1er only operates within South Korea even though technically their products are sold in various countries around the world via export/downloads ... of course if stating that their products are sold in various countries around the world makes them "multinational" then literally every K-pop group are multinational then. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 16:14, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Article title[edit]

Shouldn't the article be titled Kepler instead of Kep1er as it is stylized typography per WP:BANDNAME? Especially when the group is pronounced as Kepler, not Kep-one-er or similar. Lulusword (talk) 15:52, 21 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: So (G)I-dle should be Gidle isn't it since it doesn't pronounce as bracket-G-bracket-I-dash-de. I don't see how is the current title broken ... if it ain't broke, don't fix it. And also, the name isn't pronounced as kep-ler but kep-peu-ler (rr: Kepeulleo) or kep-pu-ler or similar. Agreed. WP:MOSTM suggests not to use special characters. "Avoid using special characters that are not pronounced, are included purely for decoration, or simply substitute for English words or letters (e.g., "♥" used for "love", "!" used for "i") or for normal punctuation" Evaders99 (talk) 17:05, 21 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

News on possible contract extension[edit]
