Copyright issues[edit]

The basic facts for this article are from Clarke's biography as printed in: Ulrich Tadday, Im Weißen Rössl. Zwischen Kunst und Kommerz, Munich: text + kritik 2006. There is a simular biography published under Arne Stollberg, E.W. Korngold, Wunderkind der Moderne oder letzter Romantiker, Munich: text + kritik 2008. The basic facts may be the same but to paste the biography verbatim into an article is still a copyright violation until one of the above steps have been taken. All references need to be added to the article itself. If they are online the exact url needs to be provided for the page on which they appear. If they are only in paper sources, the title, author, publisher, date of publication, and page number need to be provided. Also, if the biography is one provided by Kevin Clarke himself or by the organizations/web sites for which he works, it is not considered to be a independent source. There needs to be independent verification of the claims made in the biography - reviews, articles etc. - written by someone other than the article's subject, which demonstrate that he and his work are sufficiently notable to have been written about someone else, either in another book, a peer-reviewed journal article, or a magazine or newspaper. Notability and conflict of interest[edit]

At the moment the article reads like a resumé with no actual evidence of the subject's notability provided from verifiable, reliable, independent sources. I have tagged it as such. Likewise one of the contributors is affiliated to the (advertisement filled) website www.operetta-research-center.org to which this article links. This represents a clear conflict of interest. Even if the copyright issues above are resolved, if the article doesn't provide proper referencing to establish the subject's notabilty, it runs a very high risk of being taken to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion .
