Died[edit]

Twitter says he died. If anyone can find anything to verify that, that would be fantastic. Alex (talk) 06:43, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Is that his own Twitter account? I am surprised that none of the typical sources (BR, ESPN, MLB) show him as deceased, and also that the death of a member of a famous team in a media center (i.e., the 1969 Mets, even though traded in midseason - but then for the World Series MVP) would have escaped any media notice. It happens considerably more frequently than we realize that ballplayers die and no one finds out about it until years later. Jim Ray is one such fairly recent example. The Baseball Reference Bullpen lists him as deceased. ... Actually I just did a Twitter search for "Kevin Collins" to see if anything new popped up and indeed it has. Baseball Almanac, a legitimate source, now lists him as deceased. I think we can not safely mark his death on his page. Alex (talk) 20:59, 29 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
