Improvements

[edit]

I made an issue in the article Kevin Desouza only with the intention of improving the article, but my edits were reverted. Furthermore, I contested the article's deletion on the Talk page and provided the proper template as a courtesy. I ask that the modifications (and many citations I provided) are restored. Hi User 637, in the one edit you made, see here, you removed the secondary sources that confirm the subject's notability, and replaced it with another primary source. This is no improvement, see WP:RS.
Next, some of the improvements in the text first undone, have been restored, see here. And last, your information added to the talk page, see here is false, and has been removed. There was never a Wikipedia:Proposed deletion put into action. -- Mdd (talk) 20:18, 10 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Mdd, I’m afraid in your haste you’ve missed the following improvements, many of which you inadvertently undid:
Yes, I might have missed a thing or two, thanks for these corrections. -- Mdd (talk) 22:10, 10 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
One question. You claim his citizenship was incorrect. Could you specify your source, and explain what his correct citizenship is? Is it American, and should the first sentence now stipulate something as "Kevin C. Desouza (born 1979) is an Indian-born/American academic..." -- Mdd (talk) 22:21, 10 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Notability

[edit]

I question the notability of this entry's subject and intend to propose that the article be deleted. Opinions ? -The Gnome (talk) 09:52, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It does seem that an associate college professor, with a page created by one of his students, is hardly notable... Robotichuman (talk) 01:34, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Kevin Desouza's is cited about 3500+ times, see Google Scholar, which indicates that this scientist is notable enough, yet this article could do a better job explaining his contributions. -- Mdd (talk) 20:06, 10 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Desouza is a prominent academic figure within his university, for which he is the associate dean. Improvements are made to increase user understanding of the college's facultyAsupublicsvc (talk) 20:12, 10 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Just for the record: I have no problem with the article, the way it is right now (and for that I have removed the template:Verify). Yet, if you or your colleague continue to restructure this article in an uncommon way, and remove secondary sources I will. -- Mdd (talk) 20:25, 10 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
