encyclopedic tone[edit]

I know there isn't a lot of good information on this topic, but some of the content doesn't really seem to have a neutral tone. Stuff like "Grip crews are the backbone of production; without grips there would be no films." & "The Key grip is a master of problem solving." doesn't really seem to add any factual content. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.82.133.73 (talk) 03:12, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Coming across this article more than 10 years after this comment, I can see that it is still very true. It seems more like a brochure in a career counseling office. The article needs a major overhaul. Arbalest Mike (talk) 04:37, 20 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Notable Figures[edit]

The ‘Notable Figures’ section of this article seems inappropriate. For one thing, the individuals profiled here seem to have been selected arbitrarily, and don’t seem to be more ‘notable’ than countless other people who have held the position of key grip throughout the history of the film industry.
