Arbitrary heading

[edit]

i donot think that there is not even the single proof for being the thakuri falls under the khas , still there is confusion of thakuri, not even the single writer had clearly mentioned about the thakuri. somesay thakuri is the sub title of chetri but other say they are the magar because still in gorkha , manakamana and syanja there is still the magar pujar and there is no bahum . so it verify that thakuri are not the chetri , some say thakuri and kami are the rajput . but still there is no such evident that clearify that thakuri belong to that particular group. in present we see it has become the serous about the thakuri, almost all the thakuri seem like the mongolian appreance but some how have got the aryan , it is matter of fact what to say about the thakuri . who are they.

According to Professor Dor Bahadur Bishta and professor Suryamani Adhikari,Matwali Chettris in Karnali region in far west Nepal are the proto-type Khas people. They share same surnames(e.g. Bohora,Thapa,Bishta etc.),language and physical features but drink alcohol, eat chicken and do not wear sacred thread. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Khasketa (talkcontribs) 19:25, 31 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

.

I'm not agreed with the story

[edit]

The story written here is not agreeable since it is described on the basis of hypothetical approach. Khas is not composition of Bahun and Kshetri. Khas is Khas who have many identification. Every one should reach their orgin and study their culture, religion, language, script, wearings etc. Some one is trying to make fake history of Bahun and Kshetri. Khasas are not entered into hindu caste system till now in Khasan(Karnali, seti , bheri). There are so many proof of Khas who are not the composition of Kshetri nor Bahun. The Story is too bias to Khasas. Be honest to tell actual story about khasas —Preceding unsigned comment added by 113.199.250.131 (talk) 10:40, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Khasan" is later modification

[edit]

This article is not based on historical proof. The author should try to understand about 'Badakhshan' of Afghanistan and 'Khasan' of Russia also.

Distinction between Khas and Khasas

[edit]

The lede sentence is:

Originally the Khas (खस) / Khasas or Khasiyas were the mountain dwellers...

implying that Khas, Khasas, and Khasiyas are alternate names or spellings of the same concept, except we have a whole separate article linked to at Khasas. So, reading on, I expect to soon find an explanation of why they are distinct from each other (so I can fix the construction of the lede sentence), but I don't see that (at least not in the lede section). The second sentence calls the empire built by the Khasas, the "Khas Kingdom". The lede at Khasas does nothing to help, either, implying the same equivalence.

So, what am I missing? Why are there two separate articles? —[AlanM1(talk)]— 13:25, 30 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Origin

[edit]
theory of Michael Witzel is based on similar names: Kazakh and Khas. There is no genetical evidence to prove his theory. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.9.41.145 (talk) 09:32, 23 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong information about khas

[edit]

Dear Concern,

The content is locked and not able to edit it. The article is totally wrong and it is an biased article as it says chettris and khas are same which is not. Khas is a community whereas chettris is varna, there are proofs and writing on khas community which says bahuns, chettri, thakuri, sanyasi, jogi etc are khas. Please rectify it immediately as it is a propoganda of representing all chettris as khasas which is wrong. If you dig deeper about chettris then you will get to know that they are mixed people, people of all community became chettris so saying all chettris is khas is a pure propoganda Moics210 (talk) 12:40, 10 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
