Palestine Index Gazetteer
[edit]Palestine Index Gazetteer is often used in Khalidi. According to the biblio, p. 611, it was published in 1945. I see it here. It there any chance it is fully available online anywhere? User:Zero0000, do you know? Huldra (talk) 22:01, 5 April 2017 (UTC)
- @Huldra: I tried hard to find it online a few years ago and didn't succeed. Then I tried to get a copy by interlibrary loan, but the only source my library found said that it is in their rare books collection and not available for lending. I should try again, as it features on my most-wanted list. Incidentally, I now have Ovadia's Byzantine Churches Corpus—you want it? Zerotalk 01:19, 6 April 2017 (UTC)
- I see it is advertised for free download on this site (two copies there), but the site wants a login. I'd be very careful as it could be a scam to steal login credentials. Perhaps creating a new google/facebook/twitter account especially for this and then deleting that account immediately afterwards might be safe enough, but I'm not sure about that either. - @Zero0000: Yeah, I would absolutely like the Ovadia's Byzantine Churches Corpus. As for Palestine Index Gazetteer, it is not in any library in my country, nor available on abebooks or amazon. I would be very wary of that download site....What about http://web.nli.org.il, this would surely be something for them? Huldra (talk) 20:13, 6 April 2017 (UTC)
