Lodi Dynasty was the last one[edit]

The Lodi dynasty was the last dynasty of the Sultanate. The article says that Sayyids came after Lodis. This is wrong. Somebody fix this.Netaji 07:40, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Khizr KhanSayyid Khizr Khan – using his full name would more clearly distinguish him apart from Khizr Muazzam Khan and allow us to disambiguate them. Ranze (talk) 07:16, 11 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose – No need to suddenly change the usual name of a prominent historical figure because of the transient TV exposure of a contemporary namesake who will return to obscurity in short order. See WP:RECENTISM and the long-term significance criterion of WP:COMMONNAME. — JFG talk 00:41, 12 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
To help distinguish the subjects, I modified the hatnote on the monarch's page and added one on the lawyer's page. — JFG talk 00:54, 12 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose: Sayyid is an honorific title (and "In general, styles and honorifics should not be included in front of the name"). The only source that is cited in the article that is readily accessible refers to him as "Khizar Khan", not "Sayyid Khizr Khan". Per WP:NCP: "Adding given names, or their abbreviations, merely for disambiguation purposes (if that format of the name is not commonly used to refer to the person) is not advised." There is no indication that "Sayyid Khizr Khan" is the WP:COMMONNAME of this person. Indeed, it is a red link, which appears to indicate that it is so uncommonly used that no one has even bothered to redirect it to an article. —BarrelProof (talk) 03:40, 12 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
