Sources

[edit]

12 out of 14 sources are Azerbaijani = partisan and non-neutral sources. Please provide independent, third-party sources.--Markus2685 (talk) 18:59, 7 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Does not appear to be notable on is own right, merge to article about them all. LGA talkedits 09:02, 11 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Don't merge. This is a list of Khojaly Massacre Memorials. But Khojaly Massacre Memorial in Berlin is an article about only the memorial in Berlin. All information there is about only the memorial in Berlin. In this list we can give the basic information about this monument. Details should be in the article, not in this list. --Interfase (talk) 17:49, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Image of monuments

[edit]

I don't agree with this edit. I think that the images of the monuments in Baku and Berlin could be used in the article as both monuments is described in the article. I don't see here any fail of NFCC. --Interfase (talk) 07:36, 6 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

On the other hand we can use the image of the monument in Berlin in the independent article about this monument instead of here. I reverted your redirect, because there was no any consensus for merging. Please don't revert and try to reach consensus. --Interfase (talk) 08:24, 6 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Khojaly Massacre Memorial in Berlin

[edit]

Users LGA and Hablabar without any consensus redirected[1][2] article about Khojaly Massacre Memorial in Berlin to this article. The articles about this monument we have in Azerbaijani, German and Russian Wikipedias. I still didn't see any argumented reason for this edit. As a result a lot of information about this memorial was just deleted. Also the image of this monument is unused and is going to be deleted. If there will not be any argumented reason for removing I will fill request on Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard. --Interfase (talk) 16:39, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The subject of the memorial in Berlin does not get close to WP:GNG this page is a suitable target for it; even if it did meet GNG this would still be the best place as there is not much to say about all the memorials that keeping them in one place is better. As for images you have not demonstrated how the use of a copyright non-free work "would significantly increase readers' understanding of the article topic, and its omission would be detrimental to that understanding.". LGA talkedits 19:44, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not agree with you. There were enough independent and reliable sources about this monument. In English Wikipedia we have articels about monuments (like this one also in Berlin), which have much less information. But you don't want to delete them. Why? I think we can have both articles about the list of memorials and about each memorial (from this list) itself. --Interfase (talk) 19:57, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS is no reason for us not to fix this, and I don't agree with you about the sources. LGA talkedits 20:27, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
As I said I filled a request: Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard#Khojaly Massacre Memorial in Berlin. --Interfase (talk) 20:59, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

My outsider opinion is that this monument is not notable enough for a separate article. Is it a reference for tourism? Is it artistically notable? Is it only valuable as a memorial?

It would be better to salvage worthy material to the Khojaly Massacre Memorials article. 84.127.80.114 (talk) 09:51, 23 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal

[edit]

I propose that Khojaly Massacre Memorial (Berlin) be merged into Khojaly massacre memorials. I think that the content in the Khojaly Massacre Memorial (Berlin) article can easily be explained in the context of Khojaly massacre memorials, and the Khojaly massacre memorials article is of a reasonable size that the merging of Khojaly Massacre Memorial (Berlin) will not cause any problems as far as article size or undue weight is concerned.
