Problems with article[edit]

The article at present has some problems: the references are all only local newspapers, so there is no indication is actually notable more generally. The writing in in an inappropriate tone, as if it were promoting the society; the list of members etc. is not encyclopedic content; the details of why the class got interested in it is not suitable content for an encyclopedia either. I also wonder if some of the content is copied from the group website, and thus violates WP:COP?YRIGHT. My feeling is the group is notable, if there were more evidence for the actual work of the group outside its own site--for example, did hit actually fund the hospital wing completely from its own resources?--so I think this can be fixed. I've tagged the article accordingly, and started the fix by removing the names of everyone but the President. My concern is to help the article survive. with respect to the copyright problem: almost all the material is copied from its "about us". Either it must be rewritten completely or whoever owns the material must give us formal permission according to WP:DCM. I advise rewriting, because even if you give us permission according to WP:DCM, the tone will not be encyclopedic and the material will not be suitable. For further information see our FAQ about organisations. I advise you to improve this article very quickly, before the article gets deleted by a regular deletion process. I do not have time to redo this article. I do think this article will "surivive". Here is another KFWH reference just to provide some assistence. --Eliscoming1234 (talk) 18:40, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
