Is it true that this is the most northerly airport in Germany? Isn't there one on Sylt?

Also, why isn't it listed as a destination airline on Lufthansa's destination page? The above unsigned comments were left by an IP user in 2006.

The article referred to "Countryside Airport of Kiel (German: Landflughafen Kiel)". My German isn't great but that doesn't seem like the right translation, to me. I've changed it to "State Airport of Kiel" ("Land" as in "Bundesland". Dricherby (talk) 12:46, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think that "State Airport" is the correct translation either because that would be "Landesflughafen" in German. I think that in this case "Land" refers to "land" in contrast to "water". 89.245.193.35 (talk) 09:00, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
