Most killer nics although they running linux , do not have a driver for the linux os. No plans exist to make one either.[edit]

Outdated reference for citation 8[edit]
Citation number 8 is from 2006. This is the entire premise for the "Reception" section. Either this section should be reworded to reflect the changes in Killer models and offerings with new citations, or it should be removed. The evidence of Killer network chips and cards increasing performance on modern PCs shows negligible gains, if nothing at all. The problem is that offloading the network stack from Windows doesn't increase performance if the computer hardware running Windows is modern and robust enough to handle it while multitasking with other processes.
