Please add: On September 3, 2020, Mayor Lovely Warren announced the seven officers present on the night Daniel Prude died in police custody will be immediately suspended, against the advice of her legal counsel. Because of civil service laws, they will be suspended with pay. The names of the officers are Sgt. Excited delirium[edit]

Excited delirium should not be in the lead. Excited delirium does not exists. It was a euphemism for 'death by excessive police force'.

The Robert Dziekański Taser incident in Canada → "Excited delirium entered into the public and media lexicon around the time that increased use of electrical weapons ignited controversy in the United States, Canada, and the UK. We can't have a 'Schrodinger's autopsy' treatment to the report. Either it is reliable source or it is not. I would caution against this as it opens the door of renaming the article from 'Killing' to 'Death', again as what defines it as a killing is the autopsy. Examination of sources regarding 'spitting at them'[edit]

There's a lack of weight in RS, and perhaps even a matter of contention for the NYT and BG, regarding the direction of the spitting. I've analysed a spread of secondary sources below. I've also made a small edit to the lede to keep it neutral and reflect weight in RS.

The Guardian avoids describing in any way Prude's spitting, instead describing the intended use of the [spit hood] device.

WaPo does the same with "police had covered his head with a white “spit hood,” designed to protect police from bodily fluids".

The Star Tribune makes a similar description about intended use, but further clarifies that "One officer wrote that they put the hood on Prude because he was spitting continuously in the direction of officers".

BBC states "He spits repeatedly on the ground". They omit to mention the direction.

CBS News states "then tried to stop him from spitting". They also omit to mention any direction.

The New York Times says it was "apparently in an effort to prevent him from spitting on them" [sic]. The use of "apparently" is IMO indicative that they don't believe the source is reliable enough to state it as fact.

The New York Times in another article state: "He spits on the ground multiple times, but does not seem to be aiming at the officers."

In contrast, the Boston Globe state "he could be seen on body camera footage spitting in the direction of officers".

Not done – Please provide a reliable secondary source such as an online newspaper or magazine article. We cannot use primary sources such as autopsy reports directly for such claims. We need a reliable news agency to authenticate the document and offer their analysis. It is only such analysis by a reliable publication that we can use as a basis for adding this material to the Wikipedia page.

As previously stated, parts of the report are quoted and discussed already in this article. To ensure privacy for the family and to provide information in a conservative manner, as per Wikipedia policies on Biographies of living people, it would be unnecessary to add the whole report to this page.
