ICAO/IATA-codes[edit]

Greetings,

this airfield has neither an ICAO- nor an IATA-code.

  • IATA: The German Segelfluggelände are a class of aerodrome that is restricted to gliders (other aircraft need an extra permission), so there is no way the IATA would give them a code. You can check the official IATA-Database for KZA or Kirchzarten: no results.
  • ICAO: There are very few (if any) Segelfluggelände with an ICAO-Code in Germany. Neither the official ICAO DOC 7910 (Edition 133 available here from the Danish ministry of transport) nor the Website of the Breisgauverein für Segelflug mention a code. Also, the "K" in EDKC stands for Aeronautical Information Service section Cologne (Köln). For Kirchzarten, Stuttgart would be responsible, so the code – if there was any – would start with EDT…

Since there are no reliable sources that say something else, I'm removing the codes now. --El Grafo (talk) 16:16, 21 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
