Hello, I am planning on reviewing this article for GA Status, over the next couple of days. Thank you for nominating the article for GA status. I hope I will learn some new information, and that my feedback is helpful.

If nominators or editors could refrain from updating the particular section that I am updating until it is complete, I would appreciate it to remove a edit conflict. Please address concerns in the section that has been completed above (If I've raised concerns up to references, feel free to comment on things like the lede.)

I generally provide an overview of things I read through the article on a first glance. Then do a thorough sweep of the article after the feedback is addressed. After this, I will present the pass/failure. I may use strikethrough tags when concerns are met. Even if something is obvious why my concern is met, please leave a message as courtesy.

Best of luck! you can also use the {{done}} tag to state when something is addressed. Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs)

Please let me know after the review is done, if you were happy with the review! Obviously this is regarding the article's quality, however, I want to be happy and civil to all, so let me know if I have done a good job, regardless of the article's outcome.

Lede[edit]

  • The 80-seat restaurant, which opened in June 2016, is on the second floor of 263 E Pender St - I'm not entirely sure the lede needs to know the full address - probably just better to say on the second floor of a building within Pender Street.
  • Both Kissa Tanto & St. Lawrence (restaurant) were modelled after other restaurant GAs that have the address in the lead. I can pull it if you want, but just to say there is precedent.
  • Fixed
  • Hmm, on review, probably not; pulled it.
  • Because I forgot to fix the lead before someone snagged the review, lol

General[edit]

  • Fixed in the process of fixing the lead
  • Savio almost certainly, I have a source dump in my userspace that I haven't gotten around to writing up. On a quick search, Luigi arguably has the coverage but I've never eaten there so I don't have any plans on writing it up at this point.
  • He doesn't specify in the source, but from context, the designers and the three owners. I think this is reasonable for the readers to infer given the rest of the paragraph.
  • Done
  • Sure, fair enough
  • There's a lot of quotes in this article. Things like In their review, Canada's 100 Best wrote, "We could be anywhere—New York, Tokyo, San Francisco." don't actually mean anything without surrounding prose. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 12:06, 30 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Mm, that one is intended to support that Watanabe isn't just blowing smoke when he says he wants to transport diners, and that reviewers also caught onto the "transported" thing. If you have any other specific examples where you feel I've overquoted, let me know and I can make adjustments.
  • I think this is an engvar thing, I've never seen that here in Canada.
  • I couldn't make multiref work, so I put each ref next to the respective year, if that's okay (if you can make multiref work by all means feel free to change this).
