Clarification of "any Wikimedia project" wrt language editions
[edit]Does Kiwix include all language editions for each WM project? Would be helpful to make that explicit.--A12n (talk) 17:14, 20 December 2014 (UTC)
- Almost, this is ongoing. Kelson (talk) 11:55, 1 April 2015 (UTC)

new version 2018/6 of some 80 GB with problems
[edit]By now, there is a new version but I have a problem with the zim which isn't recognized as a valid zim ... After some 9 hours of downloading this is a pretty stupid thing ... Any one else having the same problem ? Jansegers (talk) 09:37, 30 August 2018 (UTC)
How to pronounce
[edit]I came here to try and find out whether Kiwix is pronounced like it's spelled (kee-wix
) or like kiwi x
. If there is an official pronunciation documented somewhere, it should be mentioned in the article. --Scimonster (talk) 06:58, 6 January 2016 (UTC)
Image organization
[edit]The images are great, however we may want to put them in a gallery or curate the best ones. As of now it appears cluttered. Carlelliss (talk) 14:21, 11 August 2016 (UTC)
Size of ZIM files
[edit]How about adding the size of English Wikipedia (with and without images) to the article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by إلياس الجزائري (talk • contribs) 14:22, 28 March 2017 (UTC)
Repository links are to a deprecated version
[edit]The apps have an up-to-date repository at https://github.com/kiwix , but all the Repository links in the infoboxes point to https://github.com/kiwix/kiwix, which redirects to the deprecated kiwix-xulrunner . This seems to be hard-coded somewhere and there is no way to change it in the source code of the page (which is very odd, so it must be in some custom template)... --GKantaris (talk) 22:21, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
- Hello, GKantaris
- It is not hard-coded. There is an edit button in the shape of a miniature blue pen. (Sorry, we can't make the edit button bigger.)
- Best regards,

"Incompatibility List"
[edit]I deleted the following unsourced statement from the History section: ″The incompatibility list includes; iPhone OS 1, iPhone OS 2, iPhone OS 3, iOS4, iOS5, iOS6, iOS7, iOS_8 and is expected to continue throughout the product line on a chronological basis.″ The Kiwix website clearly identifies the software as iPhone compatible, and an iOS version is available for free download on the App Store. Both sources are cited correctly elsewhere in the article. It looks like the inaccurate, unsourced, information was added by Twillisjr in February 2018. Maybe I am misunderstanding what Twillisjr is trying to say? NikolaiSmith (talk) 20:12, 28 March 2018 (UTC)
