Method of consolodation into Dallas

[edit]

The Handbook of Texas says "The community was consolidated with Dallas on April 3, 1978." I removed the word "annexed" from the article for lack of a citation. A common way for communities to merge is for the smaller one to dissolve and the land formerly in the city limits of the former city to be annexed into the larger city. Usually this is done with accompanying ordinances that have the assets and debts of the smaller city to go to the larger city rather than the county or state as would be the case in a typical city dis-incorporation. If you have reliable sources that show how Kleberg became part of Dallas, please improve the article. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 00:52, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
